Story of two stones
The river reached the Terai after a difficult and long journey to the mountains.
On both its sides, there was a heap of innumerable stones of circular, elliptical and without
any definite shape. The familiarity between these two stones started increasing.
Both of them started talking and listening to each other.
One of these stones was very chubby, smooth and extremely attractive while the other
stone was rough and unflattering, without any definite shape.
One day, one of these ungainly, rough stones asked the smooth stone,
"Both of us have come away from the high mountains, then why are you so chubby,
smooth and attractive when I am not?"
Hearing this, the smooth stone said, "You know I was just like you in the beginning,
but after that I have been continuously flowing for many years and constantly breaking
and weaving ... I don't know how many storms I have faced ... The sharp pats have
hit me on the rocks… So sometimes I have cut my body with my torrent… Then
I have got this from somewhere.
You know, I had the option of always that I should escape from these hardships
and lay on one side of the rest… But is there any way to live like this? No, in my
eyes it is worse than death!
You also do not get disappointed with this form of yours… you have to struggle more now
and continue to struggle, then one day you will become more beautiful, chubby, smooth
and attractive than me.
Do not accept the form that does not suit you… You are what I was yesterday….
Tomorrow you will be what I am today… or maybe even better! ”, The smooth stone
finished its talk.
Friends, there is so much strength in struggle that it changes the life of a human being.
Today, no matter how odd you are in the situation… Do not stop fighting…. Do not stop your
efforts. You will feel many times that your efforts are not getting any fruit but still do not stop
trying. And when you do this, there is no strength in the world that will prevent you from
succeeding.
